Here at Ms. Mayhem, Halloween is one of our favorite times of the year. Yes, it’s not just a one-day holiday for us. We celebrate the spooky season the whole month of October with horror films, apple cider drinks and ghoulish delights. And what better way to celebrate than by continuing to support local queer, BIPOC and women-owned businesses while getting in our thrills.

If you’re still looking for last-minute additions for your costume or need some ideas to get you started, check out Gott-A-Costume, now owned by Tanner Gott but founded by his mother. If you’re looking for something a little more alternative, check out FashioNation, owned by Pam and Paul Italiano. Coco Coquette has all things wigs, headpieces and spooky earrings. And for the final touches to transform into the monster of your dreams, head to Makeup Mania for Hollywood-grade effects.

For those final decoration details, head to Horrid Magazine’s shop for witchy wonders and The Bee Hugger Farm for that perfect pumpkin.

Below are some upcoming Halloween events in the Denver metro area to get you in a spooky mood before all the ghouls and goblins return to their haunts.
